# Maple Syrup Calculator vs SapMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: SapMap at every 3 weeks against Maple Syrup Calculator's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maple Syrup Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and SapMap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
