# WorkNotes vs Bear Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bear Notes at every 2 days against WorkNotes's weekly. Bear Notes also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkNotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Bear Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WorkNotes ships an update weekly, Bear Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
