# Nova Blocks vs Pixtangle

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pixtangle at every 3 days against Nova Blocks's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nova Blocks sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Pixtangle sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nova Blocks ships an update fortnightly, Pixtangle every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
