# Glucera vs HolyNote

The clearest difference is monetization model: Glucera at free with in-app purchases against HolyNote's subscription. Glucera also leads on ratings volume (841 vs 119). HolyNote's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (29% vs 0%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Glucera sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and HolyNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Glucera against 4.7 for HolyNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Glucera has 841 ratings behind it against 119, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 0% of Glucera's written reviews are positive against 29% of HolyNote's.

Glucera ships an update weekly, HolyNote every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
