# Wonder Hunt vs SpanThread

The clearest difference is rating: SpanThread at 5.0 against Wonder Hunt's 4.7. SpanThread also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 6 days). Wonder Hunt's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wonder Hunt sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and SpanThread sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpanThread holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wonder Hunt has 31 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wonder Hunt ships an update every 6 days, SpanThread daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
