# PaintSteps vs DrawArt

The clearest difference is ads: PaintSteps at none against DrawArt's shown. PaintSteps also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PaintSteps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DrawArt sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PaintSteps ships an update fortnightly, DrawArt monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
