# TruTimer vs Interval Timer

The clearest difference is ads: Interval Timer at none against TruTimer's shown. Interval Timer also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TruTimer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Interval Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TruTimer ships an update every 4 weeks, Interval Timer every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
