# Elements vs BlurBefore

The clearest difference is ads: BlurBefore at none against Elements's shown. BlurBefore also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). Elements's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Elements sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BlurBefore sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Elements ships an update every 6 days, BlurBefore every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
