# 映记 vs Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Widget at every 4 days against 映记's every 3 weeks. Countdown Widget also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 映记 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for 映记 against 5.0 for Countdown Widget. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

映记 ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown Widget every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
