# Shale vs MyIsko

The clearest difference is ads: Shale at none against MyIsko's shown. MyIsko's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shale sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and MyIsko sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shale ships an update every 5 days, MyIsko every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
