# ClickPad vs CarScan

The clearest difference is update cadence: CarScan at every 10 days against ClickPad's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClickPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CarScan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ClickPad ships an update every 2 months, CarScan every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
