# IdleWatch vs Padfall

The clearest difference is monetization model: Padfall at free against IdleWatch's free with in-app purchases. Padfall also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IdleWatch sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Padfall sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for IdleWatch against 5.0 for Padfall. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively.

IdleWatch ships an update fortnightly, Padfall every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
