# DubTake vs Narrative

The clearest difference is rating: Narrative at 4.8 against DubTake's 3.9. Narrative also leads on ratings volume (378 vs 14) and update cadence (daily vs every 3 days). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DubTake sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Narrative sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Narrative holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Narrative has 378 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of DubTake's written reviews are positive against 39% of Narrative's.

DubTake ships an update every 3 days, Narrative daily. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
