# Shift Calendar vs Rubu

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rubu at every 2 days against Shift Calendar's every 2 weeks. Shift Calendar's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Rubu sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift Calendar ships an update every 2 weeks, Rubu every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
