Reader brings your personal audiobooks and podcasts into one player. Create separate audiobook libraries for each source and manage only the folders you chooseβ€”Reader does not scan an entire device or cloud drive. Key features: - Enjoy adaptive iPhone and iPad layouts, including split views and a spacious wide-screen player on iPad - Build libraries from local folders, Google Drive, or iCloud Drive - Scan only a selected folder and its subfolders - Recognize M4B, M4A, and MP3 files and group multi-track audiobooks - Display book covers with less repeated loading and network use - Play local files directly and stream supported remote sources - Remember listening position and sync progress when supported by a connected network media library - Continue playback in the background and use lock-screen or headset controls - Rescan, update, or remove each library independently - Discover recommended podcasts without a Reader account, search Apple Podcasts by keyword, or paste a public RSS/Atom address - Preview and play a podcast before following it; remember listening progress on this device - Return to recently played podcast episodes from Listening History - Listen within a show from oldest to newest or newest to oldest, with continuous playback and progress restored after reopening the app - Permanently unlock unlimited audiobook libraries and books, plus compatible network media libraries and read-only WebDAV connections Google Drive access is read-only. Remove a connected library from Reader without deleting the original audio files. Podcast discovery, search, following, and listening are free and separate from audiobook library limits. Podcast feeds, artwork, and audio come from their publishers and delivery services; Reader does not host or sell those programmes and does not provide podcast downloads. Apple search filters out shows marked explicit by default. You can change this setting, and Reader remembers your choice. This filter applies only to Apple search results; it does not restrict recommendations, direct RSS or followed shows, verify age, or guarantee content is suitable for younger listeners. For audiobooks, the free version supports local folders, Google Drive, and iCloud Drive, with one library containing up to 10 books in total. A one-time Permanent Unlock removes those library and book limits and enables compatible network media libraries and WebDAV. It is not a subscription and does not purchase podcast content. Purchases and purchase restoration are handled through the Apple App Store.

Read and listen to classic books with Shansu Books. Find nearly 80,000 free ebooks from Project Gutenberg and 19,000 English audiobooks from LibriVox, and download available titles to read or listen offline. Made for iPhone Duo Unfold iPhone Duo and it opens like a book: two facing pages with a soft crease down the middle. Page curl turns each page around that spine, and the back of the sheet is the next left-hand page. Read on one screen, take notes on the other. Turn on the notes panel and the left screen keeps the text while the right screen lists every highlight, note and looked-up word in the book. Tap an entry to jump to the passage, tap a marked passage to find its entry, and write notes right in the panel. iPad in landscape works the same way. Fold it and keep reading from the right-hand page. Each page on the cover screen matches one column of the open spread, page for page. Ready to read offline Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, A Christmas Carol and The Yellow Wallpaper come with the app. Open a complete book without an account or internet connection. Explore more English classics, download them and return to your saved place. Find your next book Browse rankings and recommendations in Store, including the Top 100 books and authors on Project Gutenberg for yesterday, the last 7 days and the last 30 days. Search Shansu Books by title or author from your Library, or search audiobooks in Listen; when no audiobook matches, Listen also searches ebooks from Shansu and Project Gutenberg. Listen to audiobooks Browse audiobooks by genre in Listen, search them and return to recent searches. Download individual chapters for offline listening, keep listening in the background and control playback from the Lock Screen and Control Center. Adjust speed, set a sleep timer, save audio bookmarks and skip back or forward. A floating record lets you return to the player while browsing the app. Like the audiobooks you want to keep and find them in your Library. Read and listen, together When an audiobook has a matching ebook, download it or open your local copy from the book page or player. Want to hear the book you are reading? Tap the headphones button in the reader menu to use your device's text-to-speech voice. The page follows the voice; if you turn away, tap Jump back or Listen here. The Listen player shows the current paragraph and lets you change chapters, set the speed from 0.5x to 3x, and stop after a set time or a number of chapters. Audiobooks and text-to-speech take turns, so they never play over each other. Highlight, take notes and look up words Select text to highlight or underline it in five colours, add a note, bookmark the page or look up a word online. Your bookmarks and highlights have their own tabs next to the chapter list. Search within a book to find any passage. Build a reading habit Continue from your last page, set a daily goal and see your recent reading time and streak. Reading and listening both count toward your goal. Reminders are optional, and your reading habits stay on your device. Turns like real paper Enjoy page curl, or choose Slide Over, Slide, Scroll or None. Adjust text size, brightness, warm light, spacing, paper colours and dark mode. Long English words break at natural hyphenation points, so justified lines stay even. Your own books too Import EPUB, TXT and PDF files, several at a time. Free to start The app contains ads. Optional rewarded videos unlock additional downloads or give you 30 minutes without native ads. An optional one-time purchase removes ads permanently and unlocks unlimited downloads; there is no subscription. Restore purchases with the same Apple Account. Questions or book corrections?
