# ambient vs elsewhere

The clearest difference is update cadence: elsewhere at every 3 days against ambient's fortnightly. ambient's advantage is device support (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ambient sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and elsewhere sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ambient ships an update fortnightly, elsewhere every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
