# Anke VPN vs Relay VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Anke VPN at free with in-app purchases against Relay VPN's subscription. Anke VPN also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anke VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month and Relay VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Anke VPN against 5.0 for Relay VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anke VPN has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Anke VPN ships an update every 3 days, Relay VPN every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
