# Second Unit vs Hitladder

The clearest difference is ads: Hitladder at none against Second Unit's shown. Hitladder also leads on chart position (#160 vs unranked) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). Second Unit's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Second Unit sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Hitladder sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Second Unit against 5.0 for Hitladder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hitladder has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
