# Schematic vs Pithy

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Schematic at 61 against Pithy's 2. Pithy's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Schematic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year and Pithy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pithy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Schematic has 61 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Schematic ships an update every 5 days, Pithy every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
