# Schematic vs Mechanism

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Mechanism at 16.0 against Schematic's 26.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Schematic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year and Mechanism sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
