# Hardcover vs ReadIt

The clearest difference is ads: ReadIt at none against Hardcover's shown. Hardcover's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hardcover sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ReadIt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hardcover ships an update every 3 days, ReadIt every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
