# Tab vs WidgetBTC

The clearest difference is ads: Tab at none against WidgetBTC's shown. On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tab sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WidgetBTC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tab ships an update every 3 days, WidgetBTC every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
