# File Reader vs Kept

The clearest difference is ads: Kept at none against File Reader's shown. File Reader's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Reader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Kept sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
