# boxd vs ArcSync

The clearest difference is ads: boxd at none against ArcSync's shown. ArcSync's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. boxd sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and ArcSync sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

boxd ships an update every 2 weeks, ArcSync daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
