# Facegammon vs Backgammon Rounds

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon Rounds at every 3 days against Facegammon's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Facegammon sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon Rounds sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Facegammon ships an update every 2 weeks, Backgammon Rounds every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
