# PaperFlow vs Notes Index

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Notes Index at none against PaperFlow's 3. PaperFlow's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PaperFlow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Notes Index asks for nothing beyond the download.

PaperFlow ships an update every 3 days, Notes Index every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
