# Chesshape vs FORMBO

The clearest difference is update cadence: FORMBO at daily against Chesshape's every 5 days. Chesshape's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chesshape sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and FORMBO sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chesshape ships an update every 5 days, FORMBO daily. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
