# School Stream vs Daymap Companion

The clearest difference is review sentiment: School Stream at 66% against Daymap Companion's 7%. School Stream also leads on ratings volume (330 vs 1). Daymap Companion's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Daymap Companion holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: School Stream has 330 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of School Stream's written reviews are positive against 7% of Daymap Companion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

School Stream ships an update every 5 weeks, Daymap Companion every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
