# Home Dashboard Setup vs NextExplorer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Home Dashboard Setup at none against NextExplorer's 3. NextExplorer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NextExplorer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Home Dashboard Setup asks for nothing beyond the download.

Home Dashboard Setup ships an update every 3 weeks, NextExplorer every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
