# Colossatron vs Snake

The clearest difference is rating: Snake at 4.6 against Colossatron's 3.5. Snake also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (73% vs 36%). Colossatron's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Colossatron sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Snake sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snake holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Colossatron has 1.4K ratings behind it against 174, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Colossatron's written reviews are positive against 73% of Snake's.

Colossatron ships an update every 2 months, Snake every 12 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
