# Colossatron vs AZ Rockets

The clearest difference is monetization model: AZ Rockets at free with in-app purchases against Colossatron's subscription. AZ Rockets also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (56% vs 36%). Colossatron's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 35). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Colossatron sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and AZ Rockets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.5 for Colossatron against 3.6 for AZ Rockets. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Colossatron has 1.3K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of Colossatron's written reviews are positive against 56% of AZ Rockets's.

Colossatron ships an update every 2 months, AZ Rockets fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
