# LEAP Mobile vs Legacy Insider

The clearest difference is rating: LEAP Mobile at 4.6 against Legacy Insider's 3.7. LEAP Mobile also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). Legacy Insider's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Legacy Insider sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. LEAP Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

LEAP Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LEAP Mobile has 208 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of LEAP Mobile's written reviews are positive against 50% of Legacy Insider's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LEAP Mobile ships an update every 2 months, Legacy Insider every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
