# Shift Planner vs Rotaro

The clearest difference is ads: Shift Planner at none against Rotaro's shown. Rotaro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Rotaro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shift Planner ships an update monthly, Rotaro every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
