# Pyron vs HexStride

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pyron at free against HexStride's freemium. Pyron also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 days) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pyron sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and HexStride sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Pyron against 5.0 for HexStride. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyron has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pyron ships an update every 3 days, HexStride every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
