# CamKit vs Lociro

The clearest difference is monetization model: CamKit at free with in-app purchases against Lociro's subscription. CamKit also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Lociro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CamKit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and Lociro sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 1.0 for CamKit against 1.0 for Lociro. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 6 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

CamKit ships an update weekly, Lociro every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
