# BlackCab vs iVipp

BlackCab and iVipp both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of iVipp's written reviews are positive against 33% of BlackCab's. iVipp also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). BlackCab's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (135 vs 10). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BlackCab against 4.9 for iVipp. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlackCab has 135 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.
