# Lumenic vs ddPlayer

The clearest difference is rating: ddPlayer at 4.9 against Lumenic's 4.3. Lumenic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ddPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Lumenic asks for nothing beyond the download.

ddPlayer holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Lumenic's written reviews are positive against 84% of ddPlayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
