# Trash Nothing + Freecycle vs Freecycle

The clearest difference is rating: Freecycle at 5.0 against Trash Nothing + Freecycle's 3.3. Freecycle also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Trash Nothing + Freecycle's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 0%) and ratings volume (105 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Freecycle holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trash Nothing + Freecycle has 105 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Trash Nothing + Freecycle's written reviews are positive against 0% of Freecycle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trash Nothing + Freecycle ships an update every 3 months, Freecycle every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
