# PinNote vs TalkSum

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TalkSum at none against PinNote's 1. TalkSum also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). PinNote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PinNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TalkSum asks for nothing beyond the download.

TalkSum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PinNote has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of PinNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of TalkSum's.

PinNote ships an update every 2 days, TalkSum every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
