# Picot vs HookSnap

The clearest difference is update cadence: HookSnap at every 10 days against Picot's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Picot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and HookSnap sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Picot ships an update every 3 weeks, HookSnap every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
