# Orthodox Pro vs Orthodox Hours

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Orthodox Hours at none against Orthodox Pro's 7. Orthodox Hours also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). Orthodox Pro's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orthodox Pro sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Orthodox Hours asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Orthodox Pro against 5.0 for Orthodox Hours. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orthodox Pro has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Orthodox Pro ships an update monthly, Orthodox Hours every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
