# Cohestry vs Shortboard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shortboard at daily against Cohestry's weekly. Shortboard also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cohestry sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Shortboard sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Cohestry against 5.0 for Shortboard. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortboard has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cohestry ships an update weekly, Shortboard daily. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
