# Pirate Cannon Blast vs SpanThread

The clearest difference is rating: SpanThread at 5.0 against Pirate Cannon Blast's 4.6. SpanThread also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 8 days). Pirate Cannon Blast's advantage is ratings volume (38 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pirate Cannon Blast sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and SpanThread sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpanThread holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pirate Cannon Blast has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pirate Cannon Blast ships an update every 8 days, SpanThread daily. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
