# HelloWay vs Letstalk IM

The clearest difference is rating: HelloWay at 5.0 against Letstalk IM's 3.9. HelloWay also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Letstalk IM's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (101 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HelloWay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letstalk IM has 101 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of HelloWay's written reviews are positive against 34% of Letstalk IM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HelloWay ships an update every 3 months, Letstalk IM fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
