# HelloWay vs BatChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BatChat at 86% against HelloWay's 25%. BatChat also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (99 vs 1). HelloWay's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 27). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BatChat sells 27 one-off in-app purchases. HelloWay asks for nothing beyond the download.

HelloWay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BatChat has 99 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of HelloWay's written reviews are positive against 86% of BatChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HelloWay ships an update every 3 months, BatChat every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
