A viewer for your own TXT, comic and PDF files — without garbled text. NO MORE GIBBERISH Older TXT files are often saved in legacy encodings such as Korean CP949 or Japanese Shift_JIS, and many apps show them as random symbols. Unfold detects the encoding and opens the file correctly. If something still looks wrong, preview the text in each encoding and pick the right one. CHAPTERS, AUTOMATICALLY Unfold finds headings like "Chapter 1", "Prologue", "第1章" or "제1장" and builds a table of contents. Long texts without headings are split into sensible parts. Your position and bookmarks are saved automatically. COMICS, COMFORTABLY ZIP, CBZ and folders of images are sorted naturally (1, 2, 10), and file names zipped on Windows are repaired. Reading direction is remembered per book; turn the phone sideways for a two-page spread; margins can be trimmed automatically. EPUB, PDF AND IMAGES TOO ADDING FILES Put files in Files > On My iPhone > Unfold, or use Share > Unfold from another app. Whole folders work. A VIEWER FOR YOUR OWN FILES Unfold opens files you already have. It has no feature for finding or downloading books or comics online. Samples included: public-domain Korean short stories and a comic we drew ourselves. PRIVACY No sign-up and no server. Your files and reading positions stay on this device. No ads or analytics. UNFOLD PRO (ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION) Read aloud with the built-in voice, auto-scroll, three extra backgrounds, and backup/restore of your reading data. All reading features are free. Bookbreath is a reading app with no ads. The name is Korean for "the breath of a book". No banners, no pop-ups, no video ads. When you read, there is only text. Made for people who loved e-ink readers and now read on their phone. On iPhone Duo, unfold it and read two pages side by side, like a paper book. Fold it and keep reading one page at a time on the outer screen. Easy on the eyes • The page is never brighter than the room around you, with less flicker in the dark • Warm grey paper without blue glare, warmer after sunset • Black & white mode for this app only • Turn page by page with your choice of effect, or scroll straight down (trial) • The screen stays on while you read, and brightness is right there in the reader Any file, fast • TXT, EPUB and PDF — password-protected PDFs too • Read any PDF like a book with “Text Only”: bigger text, your font, highlights. Scanned PDFs are read on your device • Old TXT files in GBK, Big5, Windows-1251, KOI8-R, Shift-JIS, EUC-KR and other legacy encodings open without garbled text • Import a ZIP of books in one go • EPUBs keep their own table of contents and footnotes • Even books thousands of pages long open in about a second • Link your Downloads folder once and new books appear right away • Find, sort and rename books in your library • On iPad in landscape, two pages side by side like a book — PDFs too, with contents and search While you read • Highlights, notes, bookmarks and full-text search; step through matches with ‹ › • Long-press to select, drag the handles, and carry on onto the next page • Share a passage as a paper card image • Dictionary and translation • Read aloud in the book's own language with natural voices and a sleep timer (10 free minutes a day) • Turn pages with a keyboard or a Bluetooth page turner • Choose what the page header and footer show: title, chapter, pages left, time left, percent, progress bar • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, plus today's reading time and your streak • Lock the app with Face ID • Export highlights and notes as text • Literata, Charter and Korean book fonts, remembered separately for Chinese/Japanese/Korean books and all others; Chinese, Vietnamese and Cyrillic books get a typeface with every letter • In 16 languages: English, 한국어, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, Русский, Nederlands, Türkçe, ไทย, Tiếng Việt, Bahasa Indonesia Bookbreath Pro — buy once, keep forever (not a subscription) • Fine typesetting: line and paragraph spacing, letter spacing, margins, weight, alignment • Different fonts, spacing and margins per book; save your own presets • Unlimited read-aloud • Unlimited highlights and notes (free: unlimited in your first book, then 3 per book) • Add your own fonts (.ttf, .otf) • Every paper tone • Sync between iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo through your own iCloud: position, highlights, notes, bookmarks, book files and your text settings (no sign-up) Books bought from stores with DRM protection can't be opened. Bookbreath reads the TXT, EPUB and PDF files you own. Tips The app is made without ads. If you like it, you can buy the developer a coffee in Settings. Tips unlock nothing — they are just support.
