# Effectrix vs SNAP

The clearest difference is rating: Effectrix at 4.7 against SNAP's 3.6. Effectrix also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and ratings volume (97 vs 14). SNAP's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Effectrix sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SNAP sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Effectrix holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Effectrix has 97 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Effectrix's written reviews are positive against 33% of SNAP's.

Effectrix ships an update every 4 months, SNAP every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
