# Apricity vs Readora

The clearest difference is rating: Readora at 4.8 against Apricity's 4.1. Readora also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Apricity's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 56%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Apricity sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year and Readora sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readora holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Apricity's written reviews are positive against 56% of Readora's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Apricity ships an update every 2 days, Readora every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
