# 英漢字典 EC Dictionary vs Erudite Dictionary Translator

The clearest difference is rating: 英漢字典 EC Dictionary at 5.0 against Erudite Dictionary Translator's 4.6. Erudite Dictionary Translator's advantage is ratings volume (172 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 英漢字典 EC Dictionary sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Erudite Dictionary Translator sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

英漢字典 EC Dictionary holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Erudite Dictionary Translator has 172 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of 英漢字典 EC Dictionary's written reviews are positive against 79% of Erudite Dictionary Translator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
