# DBHamPlus vs HFpager

The clearest difference is rating: DBHamPlus at 4.0 against HFpager's 3.0. DBHamPlus also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). HFpager's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 24 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HFpager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. DBHamPlus asks for nothing beyond the download.

DBHamPlus holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DBHamPlus has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of DBHamPlus's written reviews are positive against 71% of HFpager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DBHamPlus ships an update every 24 months, HFpager every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on June 6, 2026 and June 4, 2026 respectively.
